My first day at One generation was interesting. I had arrived early for the fitness walk activity, and was surprised that no one seemed interested, except one person. I asked Cathy if she needed any help with anything and surprisingly she said she needed someone to go one the walk and supervise Jason. He was the only one that actually participates in these walks and I was delighted to go with him. We talked about how far he’s come along. A year ago he had gotten ear surgery and was able to hear clearly again!  He was so delighted that he was inspired to walk and move around and he was proud that he was the only patron that really participated in the walking activity. We did a couple of laps around the park and then we decided to head back. He showed me his hobby which is coloring. I did some research and it turns out that it was a form of art therapy! We hung out all day and it was a win-win situation, he had someone to talk to and I made a new friend.
